Consultation
You can use our Online Booking System or email [email protected] to arrange a mutually agreeable time and date.
Consultations are with Jon and normally last 45 minutes to 1 hour; sometimes more, sometimes less… it really depends on the size of the project.
During our consultation, we’ll talk about your ideas and how best to achieve them. Even if you’re not quite sure what you want… we can help with that too.
Survey
We take digital measurements of the areas identified during the consultation. We measure distance and elevation in order to supply the most accurate costs for your project.
With your permission, we take 3-4 core samples of the ground conditions. We also note any restrictions, obstacles and risk.
You will receive a copy of your Survey Report in your Quote Package.
Quote Package
Depending on the total value of your project, you will receive your complete Quote Package either digitally or in person, ie; larger projects over £10,000 usually have more information, which often needs more discussion.
Everything you need to know will be clear and comprehensive.

Should I seal my paving?
We do not recommend sealing your patio, particularly natural stone. Paving units outdoors are subject to a lot of environmental changes and often this includes the natural migration of moisture which sealers prevent.
Does my driveway need planning permission?
Not in all cases.
Legislation was introduced in 2008, any hard paved surface over 5 square metres of domestic front gardens are only permitted if the new surface is rendered permeable.
This includes all new driveways, and also historic driveways that are being resurfaced.
As long as the construction complies, you do not need planning permission for paving your front drive.
You do need permission to lower kerbs and gain access over areas that are currently public highways.
What is your lead time?
Our lead times vary throughout the year, but as a general guide you should expect a 2 to 3 month wait
Is your work guaranteed?
Most guarantees aren't worth the paper they are written on, unless it's from a multi million pound insurance giant, and even then it's got so much small print it never goes anywhere.
We all have a consumer right for these investments to be fit for purpose, and certainly our services are included in this.
We also have a clear pathway for problems or defects that may occur post installation.
Simply put, we believe in doing the job right the first time.
