Paved In Stone is very much my own creation and I take full responsibility for all projects undertaken. However, like many landscapers, I rely on a trusted team working beside me, complimenting each other's skills to produce top quality results time and time again.

I must also pay thanks to my 'bigger team'; my family, friends and peers for all their help and support.

Jon

My path to landscaping began over 20 years ago when I would cram into the back of my Dad's old van and go help him build a pool or lay some paving somewhere during the summer holidays. I never intended to follow in his footsteps but I'm glad I did. It's become my passion.

I worked on site as a ground-worker in my early days and soon began taking on weekend work doing patios for people who had just moved in. I instantly fell in love with the job satisfaction and even though it was fairly rudimentary back in those days, that same feeling still drives me now.

I'm passionate about this industry. I've won awards for my work and have held accreditation with companies like Bali, Bradstone and am currently back with Marshalls, as I feel they are the best. I keep up-to-date with all the latest products and techniques. It's an obsession.

Historically my working experience has mostly been self-employed as a trader and subcontractor, but I have also in my time been employed as a foreman and supervisor.

I pride myself on my work. I come from respectable working stock. I'm on the ground doing the work myself and it means something to me to know I'm doing a good job.

I know what it takes and I know how to get us there.

Jay

I first met Jay in 2016 and we've been side by side ever since. He's only a young'un but he has a keen eye for detail and a fantastic work ethic. Jay has developed a strong skill set, ever learning and crafting his own path. His arms are bigger than most people's legs so that's handy too!

"I kind of fell into landscaping. I knew I needed to learn a trade and applied for everything I could. A local landscaping company gave me a shot and I'm glad they did! I really enjoy the process of taking on Hard-Landscaping , all the different stages building together to produce a really nice garden or driveway is very satisfying.

I like to get stuck in at work. It saves me money in gym fees, and I'm dedicated to doing it right the first time round.

I'm still learning this trade but in the space of 2 years I've gone from labourer to skilled improver and I look forward to learning more every day from a great experienced tradesman in Jon."
